Double Braids, Solid Braids, Single Braids, Diamond Braids, Twill Braids, and Stretch (shock) cords are all available in our standard fibers. Nylon, Polyester, Multi-filament Polypropylene (MFP) or the high tech fibers, Kevlar and Spectra on request.

A Maine Made Success
Custom Cordage began in 1998 in the small town of Waldoboro, just off the midcoast of Maine's scenic coastline, where a need for quality rope was as necessary as butter with a fresh caught lobster. David Bird began with a small crew and turned his expertise and master skills into one of America's finest rope manufacturer of braided ropes and cords.
In 2017, another Maine based company, Advanced Industrial Solutions, in neighboring Augusta, acquired Custom Cordage allowing David to see his business flourish for many years to come. With a continued emphasis on quality, as well as Maine Made, Custom Cordage is proudly regarded as a premier rope manufacturer due to the hard work and efforts of a well-built team and machine.
